Audierne & pointe du raz

Around the campsite in South Finistère

Beautiful white facades, wooded hills, quays dedicated to fishing and yachting: for those who love the sparkling air and salty taste of the Atlantic, Audierne is the quintessential small Breton port. Located at the mouth of an estuary that opens onto the deep blue sea, the port’s location is very special. You can cross it to reach the Pointe du Raz to the west and the heritage town of Pont-Croix to the east, or you can stop for a longer break.

Discover Pointe du Raz

The Pointe du Raz is a masterpiece of nature, facing the impetuous Raz de Sein. Well-known to sailors, with the Vieille and Tévennec lighthouses and the fascinating Ile de Sein. Set against a backdrop of high, moor-covered cliffs, exposed to the waves and winds, Pointe du Raz is certainly Finistère’s best-known natural site, covering over 2,000 hectares. Today, seabirds make it their home, and part of this area is known as the Cap Sizun Reserve. It helps to ensure the conditions necessary for the preservation of their habitats.
